The Skincare Routine Everyone Keeps Asking About
Every time I meet someone, they’ll usually ask me about my skincare routine.
and I think this is probably one of the questions I get asked the most.
“What skincare do you use?”
“Can you share your skincare routine?”
“What products are you using now?”
And every single time, my answer is always the same.
“I’ll share it soon.”
Well.. “soon” somehow turned into months. 😅
So instead of typing the same answer over and over again,
I thought I should write everything here.
It’s easier this way, and whenever someone asks me again, I can just send them this post. lol
Before we start, this isn’t a sponsored post.
And I’m definitely not claiming these products will work for everyone. I’ve tried quite a few products over the years, and these are the ones that have worked best for my skin.
For those who have been waiting, here it is.
This is the routine I’ve been sticking to recently :)
My Morning Routine :
Step 1 — Cleanse
I always start with a clean face.
The first thing I do every morning is wash my face with the Effaclar cleanser.
It cleans my skin really well without making it feel dry or tight afterwards, which I personally love.
Price : RM85.60 (200ml)
Step 2 — Hydrate
After cleansing, I apply 2–3 drops of Hyalu B5 Serum.
Hyaluronic acid helps replenish hydration, making the skin feel softer and look healthier.
My skin tends to feel dehydrated sometimes, so this helps keep it feeling plump and comfortable throughout the day.
Price : RM196.90 (30ml)
Step 3 — Moisturise
This has become one of my favourite moisturisers,
especially when my skin feels irritated or slightly sensitive.
It helps strengthen the skin barrier while keeping everything comfortably hydrated throughout the day.
Price : RM140.50 (100ml)
Step 4 — Sunscreen (Never Skip)
If there’s one skincare step I refuse to skip, it’s sunscreen :)
No serum or treatment is worth much if your skin isn’t protected from UV damage.
I apply a generous amount every single morning, even when I’m mostly indoors.
Price : RM56.00 (15ml)
My Night Routine
Step 1 — Remove Sunscreen & Dirt
Before washing my face, I remove my sunscreen with the Effaclar Micellar Water.
Even if I don’t wear makeup, I never skip this step whenever I’ve applied sunscreen.
Price : RM67.20 (200ml)
Step 2 — Double Cleanse
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel
After micellar water, I wash my face with the cleanser again to make sure everything is completely removed.
Double cleansing has made a noticeable difference in keeping my pores cleaner.
Step 3 — Treatment
This serum contains active ingredients, so I didn’t use it every night when I first started.
I introduced it slowly and let my skin adjust.
Price : RM170.90 (30ml)
Step 4 — Hydrate Again
La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Serum
Once the treatment serum has absorbed, I follow up with Hyalu B5 to restore moisture and help balance my skin.
Step 5 — Lock Everything In
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+
Finally, I finish everything off with Cicaplast.
It’s the last step before bed and probably one of my favourite products from La Roche-Posay.
Extra Step (Whenever My Skin Needs It)
I don’t necessarily use this every single day.
Whenever my skin feels warm, irritated, or needs a little refresh, I give it a light mist.
It’s surprisingly soothing, especially after a long day or after using active ingredients.
Price : RM66.90 (300ml)
Total investment: Approximately RM700–RM800 for the complete routine.
Tip : If you're planning to stock up on these products, I'd recommend waiting for a Watson sale. They often have promotions, discounts, and bundle deals. So you can get the products at a much better price than buying everything at full price. :)
p/s : Good skin doesn’t happen overnight. and It’s not about buying the most expensive products or trying every skincare trend you see on Media social. It’s about finding products that suit your skin, keeping your routine simple, and being consistent enough to let them do their job..
This routine has been working really well for me, and since so many of you have been asking, I thought it was finally time to put everything in one place.
So.. here you go.
I hope this answers the question I’ve been getting for years :)
